St. Faustina’s humble Polish upbringing provided a rich soil where the seeds of faith would bear much fruit as she grew older. Attracted to the religious life at an early age, she felt compelled to respond to Jesus’ call when He began appearing to her in extraordinary ways. Her openness and receptivity to His voice resulted in Jesus choosing her as His “secretary,” faithfully writing down everything he communicated to her in a Diary. She would end-up becoming a great Messenger of Divine Mercy, sharing with the world Jesus’ deep and abiding love for all of humanity and inviting all believers to trust in Him.
